This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

That does look nice. I would think it would be fun to make, if only I was good anough. But one suggestion is the alien, the green one seems more cartoonish than the rest of the scene. But I guess ultimatly(?) its up to you. It is a alien afterall, and aliens are different.

Very nice image, saw the WIP. I agree with alienscience about the alien, it looks too green right now and doesn't fit in too well in the environment. I also think the light is too yellow, might want to lower that a notch.

Ok, now I have another crit. Its about the pic on CG Talk. I noticed his right leg, the knee looks a little weird, like almost bent like a straw. (only comparison I could come up with) It folds instead of bends. And also with his boot, I noticed that it came pretty close to his knee on his right leg, but on his left I see nothing. Could he be wearing only one? Or not?

Hey thanks, dark-link and alienscience,

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

The right leg is a little off, I agree. And yeah I didn't do a good job on the smooth binding for the alien:o

The left leg is there you just can't see it, the alien's knee is below the hole, so you are seen his upper leg.

Here are two snap shots.

The right leg:
