Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Bald guy

Easy dudes, thought it was about time i put something of my up. This is my first model i've put time into (first character i intend to finish) i'm only doing it to learn more about rigging and the human face.

Getting better here (i was new to modelling by extruding before i tried this, and my my, what a great way to model - so much control!

Little bit of texture and a bit of work on the shader added. I just discovered bump maps (damn they are cool)

And that brings you up to date, i rigged his mouth to perform an OOh and painted weights on so he opens and closes mouth properly.

Please let me know what you think, or if you spot anything i've done wrong then please let me know

I'm gonna put some much better texture on the guy and define his face a bit more later, but for now he's only there for rigging practice

about 3 and a half weeks so far. I aint got a job so I have nothing better to do at the moment user added image

I can't wait till i can make him talk!
Can anyone recommend a good lip sync program? i've heard you can get software that automatically syncs lips to a sound file (sounds amazing) is it worth bothering or should i learn to do it all without?

Modelled some teeth using starting with the tooth download in the download section here, Modified it and copied it alot to resemble a full mouth of teeth
