Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

shading

yo guys im usin maya PLE and wheever use depth map shadin or ray tracing and then render it on production quality the image model comes out really nice but the shading comes out like blocky and nasty why is this?

the shading...maybe you mean the shadow...

yer sry i fixed it though i just upped the res of the depth map shadow

sry i didnt fix it i thought i had, but in the screen below ucan see the prob, on the balls frog i get these jagged shadows, whats causing this?
