Point light special glow fx

Hi there.
I am making a space scene. I just finished on creating the earth. I am now trying to create the sun. I am using a point light with the special fx on it for the glow. But i placed the point light behind the earth, but when i render you see the glow going treu the earth. It is just going treu my objects.

I hope someone can help me with this problem.
Thanks anyway, and keep up the good work!user added image user added image
