Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Making shortcuts?

How do I do if I for example want to render using a simple button or extruding hiting another one? New to Maya so keep it simple please. user added image

window-->settings/preferences-->hotkeys.

from there you pick the tool or action you want to access, and assign it a hotkey. you can use a combination of ctrl, alt, shift, etc.


Accept no substitutions.

Also, rendering already has a hotkey. It's on the top shelf, and looks like a movie take clip thing.
