Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

give volumetrics a geometry?

I am trying to give volumetrics a geometry. I.e., i am trying to show where the light of a fogged spotlight falls, but not just in a render, in the actual maya programme. I've been messing around with fluid mechanics as I know it can be done this way, but this did not turn out well. Does ANYONE have ANY ideas, as i am really really really not getting anywhere. I think it might be possible to add geometry rto a render afterwards in premier? Is this possible. if so how? any help would be very much appreciated. Rachel. user added image
