Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
I am very new to Maya in fact I am new to this forum. I have a question to do with the rendering.
If i have 3 computers 1 windows and 2 linux, all i have is the windows install of Maya how do i install on Linux and once it is installed how can i do network rendering to utilize the other cpus instead of just my one windows. I know this is a newb section but i am a network engineer, and was wondering if any of you knew how to do this; or if its even possible
in order to network render, maya have to be installed on each machine. when that done, get hold of render manager like visual vertex's muster or a free one from highend3d.com to control all settings from one machine with a simply ui.
ok.. not very descriptive... but a very quick one..
goto highend3d.com and in the maya section goto tools.... then in the NT section(If you are using windows) download the network renderer... the you assign it on each machine... then you set it up.. pretty simple... then you assign the file name(maya scene file) then the rest of the stuff is pretty much like batch rendering...
thanks im going to be using mental ray .. but i only have the windows version so i guess ill have to use NT based machines .. will i lose anything by using NT boxes then Linux bxes?
