Copy object to CVs on curve

How would you achieve this:

Model a nurb curve with say 10 points, then create a primitve, and copy an instance of that primitive
to every CV on that nurb curve. So you would end up with say a sphere copied at each CV on the curve,
like a pearl necklace thing?

Then naturally you could animate the curve and have the spheres all nicely follow, or adjust the radius of
the sphere and have them all update along the chain.

I don't know about an automatic function, but you could snap your object to the CV, duplicate, snap it to the next, and so on.

You can use duplicate than snap to point commands
or you can write simple short mel command
Of course you must turn on CVs "nurbs compenent" at display pulldown menu.
