This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
is there a window that can be opened, that contains all of the information about the polygons in the scene? Like, a list telling you you have 100 4-sided polygons, 25 3-sided polygons etc.
If you've seen lightwave you'll know what I mean - it's really handy, and allows you to easily identify, find and select the geometry you want (which is what I'm trying to do, track down a non-4-sided polygon in my scene - but I can't see it).
I have that on already. It just gives you a polycount, I was wondering if you could actually get a much more detailed breakdown of the contents of the scene.
