A Lightbulb

Can somebody please tell me how I will go about making a lightbulb glow and light up a room? I have modelled one but I just need to know how to light it.

Louis

create a light and place in the centre of the bulb, could be a point or spotlight if there is a lampshade around the bulb, or perhaps an area light or something if on its own, also try multiple lights to make a more realistic feel of lighting the room.

Hope this helps

Thanks. Also I found the glow fx to be pretty realistic. I used a point light and it looks grand.

You could also model the wire in the bulb and light it using incandessence and (shader)glow this will give a more realistic effect
