This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
to make a lightbulb, make the lightbulb the on the bulb part add Blnn > color white > add some transparency > then some incanescence, then under special effects add a little glow. Then make a point light a place it inside the lightbulb and click on ray trace shadows, and that the way I make a lightbulb
i think the lights are too bright... i also think there are too many as well. maybe take a few of the light bulbs out and make it a little darker near the end. it'll create more of a mood that way IMO.
Now it looks like you took bulbs out, but you made the other ones even brighter. Lower that light bulbs. You should also try changing the color of the too. Like add just a hair of yellow to them. Little enough that it still looks white, but adding yellow will make it look more natural. Also it looks like the walls are reflecting the light too much. Also the seam between the walls and the carpet looks kinda funny.
Other than that it's a nice looking scene, just a few technical errors to work out.
it's a lot better than before but i noticed a couple of things... one of your lights is burnt out :p , and there is this weird splotch of shadow on the end door.
