Graphics card Recommendation

Hey guys,

Just wanna know what is a good GFX Card for Maya? As i was about to get the "Nvidia XFX 8600GTS 256MB", but then i heard that the 8000 series has a lot of glitches with maya or something ... heres the thread,

If I can remember right, the Radeon HD's have larger memory options, up to 2 GiB (that may be FireGL, not sure), a wider memory bus and more bandwidth than the Nvidia, but it benchmarks a tad slower, though the benchmarks I've seen are those dodgy DirectX ones, not OpenGL.

Sorry for the late reply,

Thats pretty impressive, how they can fit that much memory into GFX cards these days. I remember when they were at 64mb, i think it was... Yeah seen on some reviews that the Radeon HD outplays in some areas but also has some set backs.
