Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Object that appears in Reflection ONLY

Okay, I have a reflective surface on Object "A" and I want to have Object "B" appear in this reflection--but ONLY in the reflection--without appearing anywhere else in the scene.

It seems like I've read that you can associate objects like that, but I don't know enough to get started and Help isn't helping.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

In the attribute editor for object B, under the object's shape tab, there should be a tab called 'Render Stats', under here you can click on the check boxes you want on and off for when rendering your image, there is a 'primary visibility' box that you can turn off and a 'visible in reflections' box that you will want on.

Hope this helps
