Refractions in Post anybody ?
Hello 2 all
I have a scene which has some bubbles rising towards the surface.
Now the bubbles I have put into there won layer with a black backdrop.
the reason being, is that I have an HDRI image as a mental ray image based lighting which uses final gather.
This image alone makes my bubbles look very very bright and unconvincing.
But they look great on a black backdrop, using maya software
via (layer overide)
Now I also have a shark that swims past and hits the camera,
Now to get the refractions in the hubbles of the fish that swims past I just turned the sharks primary visibilty to off but still having it visible in reflections and refractions.
BUT beacuse the shark using on 3 lights for lighting and the other light source is final gather ( which makes my bubbles look like bright light bulbs)
this wont do !!
My shark uses Mental ray Map files so they won't render in maya software.
How can I get the refractions of the shark as it swims by in the bubbles with out the brightness of the HDRI image ? taking into account that I need it to like the fish.
AHHHH this is really confusing can anybody help ??
