Is the criticism the Wii receives the result of elitist gamers?

IMO, I think this has nothing to do with elitism. I think it is fair to say that in some cases, people are dissing anything which is less assessable (Xbox, PS3, PC games) for no reason other than because they can't comprehend what it is.

They fail to admire the work's artistic merit and they fail to understand the effort which went into its creation. The "elitist" response may very well be a justified reaction to this undeserved criticism.
