Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

FCheck to .avi?

Hi,

I'm not really an animator/modeller so forgive me if this is a daft question:

I need to do some music to accompany a piece of animation a friend is doing. However, the animation is in the form of 100's of .tga files which I can only get to play back through maya's FCheck.

Can someone explain how to convert these to a single animation file that can be played back through windows media player, such as .avi (or Adobe Premier)?

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks.

im sure there are some free programs out their that do this (but i dont know of any)
you just need to load your sequence of images into a program like premiere/combustion/after effects etc then render out again to a .avi

im 100% we covered something like this before in the past, try searching the board user added image

Also check out Jasc Softwares Animation Shop! Come free with Paintshop Pro and you can download a trial version (full working) that you could at least use long enough to convert to AVI
