Render Failure Darth Vader

Hi Folks,

I´m having problems with the resolution of a reflective part of a darth vader mask...
Therefor I´ve attached a picture that you can see what I´m talking about...

It´s a simple one faced triangular. I still tried to raise the facecount but it doesn´t make a difference ...
to be honest I don´t have a clue what to do user added image

What is the resolution of what it's reflecting?

it´s a 2000 x 1000 pixel (72ppi) HDR image.
it´s embed throught Render Settings > Indirect Lighting > Image Based Lighting

all the other parts of the mask are reflecting the same image and it´s looking allright

It's hard to say without the files. Are you rotating the camera around? One way you could get around this, is to rotate the environment a bit so you don't see this area, then have the model rotate instead of the camera.

I would stick with NextDesign suggestion.

But on the other thought could it be the result of your Area light sampling if you're using one with use light shape?

I don't think it's a sampling issue, as he said the other areas were fine.

I think NextDesign is right with the suggestions...
the reflection is somehow a close-up-part of the hdr-image...

I´ll try later to solve this problem... rotating the skybox I´d like to avoid
I think I try to build my own HDR image with photoshops HDR-Merge-Function
with a higher resolution...

I´ll post the results
