Render a turn table so I can see the materials. Its the best way to check if they are too shiney or weird in some way. Then render a grey sphere and a chrome sphere. To check your environment and lighting. looks pretty cloudy which means there isnt much key lighting. might look better on a sunny evening.
To make it better I'd work on the materials and lighting. Try grading what you have but the shoulders stand out to me right now.

Are there any tutorials on this anywhere? sounds pretty smart user added imageuser added image

I have a question, does anyone know how to open the plug-in's that are downloaded off of here in MAYA? I downloaded some and I can't find it to open.

if its a MEL script you just go into your script editor and open it from there

foot test - YouTube

I have a bit of a problem with the matchmove for the foot/leg scene. The camera has an unusual motion in the first 2 seconds... but looks ok towards the end. I used Autodesk Matchmover to get the camera solve; all the points were green by the end of the solve.

Can anybody out there give me some input on whether or not I should just matchmove this entire scene again? Or is it still salvageable by manually playing around with the camera's animation curves?

Also, I might add that I did not correct the plate for distortion, I sorta relied on Matchmover to calculate that for me. If the distortion really did affect the solve, it wouldn't solve would it?
