Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

nparticle falling flowers

Hi, i wanted to create flowers falling from the sky. I use nparticle to emit the flowers from a plane object. The result is that it looks too stiff. Then i tried adding ncloth to the instancer object but it doesn't work well.

Any ways to create a semi realistic falling flowers that glides softly in the air and lands gently like a cloth?

you might want to try searching for "nparticle falling leaves" on google as it is quite a popular tutorial topic. There are some interesting results and should bring you in the right direction.. you then could just swap the leaves with your flower models or instances!
