Skinned animated rig suddenly is unskinned HELP!!!

I have a Rig that was made for me. I am animating with it with no problem in Maya 2016 except when i save it. Sometime when I open the last saved session the rig loads up but when i playback through the timeline the animation plays but the rig is no longer skinned to the skeleton. The skeleton moves through the animation leaving the model behind.

I keep having to go back to previous versions until i find one that still is Skinned and start over from that point again. Here is an example of my problem.

Does anyone know how to keep this from happening?
