Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Invert Normals

There s a nice tutorial on maya web site under maya 5 mental ray .. final gather.

I am guessing Final Gather IS Radiosity.

Anyway the only thing I don't know so far to re crate the dome is to "Invert Normals"

How is that done with a polygon or nurb?

its done with polys... create the dome and then:

edit polygons -> normals -> reverse [option box] and then set it to reverse and then click on reverse
