Rendering from camera

I have a camera which I want to render from, but when I do a batch render (as a .tif sequence) it renders the whole thing from the perp view and then from the camera view once it has finished. Effectively giving me two renders fron two different views, one of which I have no use for.

How can I stop it rendering from the persp view? As far as I can tell I have all the settings correct, so I don't know why it does this.

I've never really done much with cameras in Maya before, so I've never encounted this problem up to now.

Thanks.

In the Outliner, select the perspective camera, then open up the attribute editor (ctrl + a). Go to "Output settings" and untick the "renderable" option. Make sure the camera you want to render from is enabled in Render Globals and you should be good to go.
