This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
Regarding the Pubic area, the angles are correct on both accounts, yours and mine. The one that you have stated and quite correctly so, is more commonly seen when the legs are closer together therefore causing compression on the thigh and Pubic area. The line youve shown being mainly caused from the inner thigh mass. The area from my line although I have decreased it is there because of the more bony and leaner area of the pelvis. as it rises up to the outer hip. See attched images you'll see what I mean
I appreciate you pointing this out once again as it has made me look further still at the different and less obvious areas of the human body.
Again Another but of a different girl in with a more acute angle on the hip, notice the compression and angle is alot shallower now due to the inner thigh
Apologies if anyone is offended by these images, this is a serious anatomy thread even though the girl being modelled will be clothed all aspects need to be looked at. So if you are offended leave now...
I was a bit confused as to what you were talking about but now I see. The pelvis is a very dynamic area of human anatomy. Depending on what foot the weight is resting on and the front-to-back rotation of the femur (which accounts for much of the outer 'hip' shape because of its angled ball joint) could change the angle dramatically. Well, maybe not dramatically but enough to create a debate.
Yeah absolutley, I think it one of those areas that goes more unoticed (I can say that now) and to be honest until now Ive concentrated on the more obvious and even minor things like the back of the knees.
the old looks like the bikini line and the new looks correct, What bothers me is the tummy area now, midway from the pelvis mound to the navel, Shouldn't there be a slight dip inward, very subtle. Just a bystander's gaze.
I was saying before, considering the diffrance in gaze, I wonder how generic models in Japan compare with models made by westerners??
Might be worth a look; eg, they consider the neck very sexy!
You mean the pubic mound up to the navel. The dip is there but as the two halves arent joined yet its just being seen as the sharp edge and the shape is pretty much void. The stomach areas will be tuned once connected as I want to put in the 'soft crease that comes down centre from the rib cage to the navel
Im heading up to the clavicles now until then.
Tim, dude you lost me on the Mister Blobby thang...
