Update...

For those interested. Im using purely one color for this model right now, and thats the dark grey. The metal, is done entirely with my own custom and standard PS brushes, using the dodge tool at different intensities. And although it looks like it too, theres NO bump or spec maps yet either

Nah, thats the part of the gun that woudl have the most ewear on it, with teh exception of the Trigger/hammer, if the later is applicable..

Pulling th egun in and out of a holster, Specially a Molded Plastic one, or a carbon fiber, over time woudl wear the metal down and scratch the crap ou tof th ebarrell.. Placing the gun back in the holster hot, would increase this effect...
I say it looks good Bro

Hey Thanks Guys

hey PBman: As Legend has said it would wear a hell of a lot there

I kind of thought heat from the gun bursts would eventually peel it off too.

Cheers

Nice one Jay, the wear looks really cool, you thought of maybe adding some rust/Oxidation on the most worn part of the gun?

Just a thought.

its just from handling a gun thats quite old and used there was not that much ware on it
mayb it was an exception but it still looks cool

i do think there should besome just not as much but at the end of the day if it pleases u then go with it as its ur design
