This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Okay so I think only a handfull of people were privvy to these sculpt just before christmas...

These are some character concepts I did in the space of about 3 weeks after work when I had time...again all for this same project...These were done in dynamesh...and will get the zremesher treatment once Im ready to build the rest of each character

cheers

Hi Jay
Been fun fishing for small stuff with a float (that might change as some fieinds have caught a 35lb,27lb and other doubles carp on a day ticket water today I will let you know the name of it if you want). think the work flow in the past would be base mesh in maya then to zbrush then back to maya...............dave

Hey Dave

sounds great, yes let me know. I was going to go today for a spot of carp fishing but the weather is just not doable right now

Had I built the basemesh in maya first then yeah I would of done it the other way but these characters are purely from a zbrush dynamesh sphere...no maya. They are/were purely for concept. But I was pretty pleased with the way they turned out so I will convert them to a polymesh and use zremesher to obtain some decent geo...Then I will tidy that in maya then bring back into zbrush to reproject the details...

Theres so much choice on how to do stuff, its just a case of finding your own thing..

hope that helps

Jay
