This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

in some scenes it took 48 hours to render a single frame

In finding Nemo some took 90 hours a frame! :o

and train_UCL you may want to consider optimising some of your render stuff. Try for a start to turn off raytracing for objects that dont need it. That will speed your renders up no end!! user added image

48 hours to render a single frame, I'm sure that has something to do with why they have like 2700 CPU's in there render farm.

I have heard that but that number is a little misleading. It is not you hit render and the frame is done 90 hours later. They are composite work and from the start of each render that will be composited the "Frame" took 90 hours to render. I could be wrong but that is what I think I read.
