Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
firstly i selected all the face. then i went to edi polygone texture automatique mapping.after i went to windows- uvtexture editor(a menu opened and i went to polygone uv snapshot).after i colored with paint just for fun to see i it would work. after i sved as jpeg and i tied to open that file the way you said. i hope i am clear.
im not sure what youve done there, email me your model and ill have alook at it if you like, and tell you what you need to do to fix it. (dontforget to email the image)
