Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

Yeah after looking at the latest pic again, I'd say turn up the glow even more to make it seem more than a light than an object. You might be able to do this post by blurring the blade or something. Hope you understand what I mean, it's a bit hard for me to explainOriginally posted by Tim_LIVID

The blade....it depends what movie you go by ... episode 5 or 6 lol i cant remember, Luke's blade has a huge glow.
But yeah i ll go do some junk to it then il post a picture maybe...

But if I were you I'd throw the reflection (all of it) far, far away. The blade looks odd, and, obviously, it doesn't look right if the blade's not reflected when everything else is...

why is it that the blade glow is not reflective on the floor?
oh and i thought if you had more trouble with the blade maybe this picture would help a little..
