Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
hey some guy - this is looking great so far - One thing that I might watch out for are those spikes on his back, as they warn against them on the 3d art to part website -
yeah, that sounds cool - or just thicken them up a bit - though I like the idea of a stud - having some nobbly dinosaur like bone bits coming out will look pretty cool.
Arms are done for the moment. I am gonna add a big "predator" like wrist weapon so i havn't gone into too much detail with the hands. Here is a shot of the low poly and the higher one.

Hey,
the head is gonna be a cross between the 'Alien' alien and that big hell knight thing off DOOM. It isn't gonna have any eyes and i am yet to add all the detiails. The pics of the head before were just ideas i was working on and will most likley look different that the final thing.

Looking at the first few pics i can see that myself.
I have almost finished the shape of the body now. I am not sure if i am going to add legs or if i should leave it as the top half
At the moment i am working on the top armour.
