This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
The error looked like it was connected directly to a corrupt browser. Not sure if the install had corrupted my webbrowser, but I noticed that the .html extension on my computer was disabled and giving an error message. Once I re-installed Firefox, the docs and the .html extensions worked.
I just went to that site and noticed that there is a update for uninstaller issues for a Mac.., take my word for it this IS serious and if you try to uninstall 8.5 from yor mac and try to do ANYTHING concerning maya on it later.., you are in for pulling your hair out big time.., take this message from auto desk seriously because it is.., I have spent th last 2 days with this problem and it is only this coincidence of looking at this thread that has given me any clue as to what happened.., nothing will uninstall or install since I tried to take it off (for reasons of my own) and reinstall it. (lisence problem)
meanwhile.., 300 meg for the SP and 300 meg for the uninstaller issue.., and 300 meg for the linux SP.., (is linux for the mac) ?? adds up but whos complaining.., ???
sorry mate, i dont understand.., this service pack is a complete program for the PC ?? i uninstall the old program and then install this one as a complete program??
Yup, if you click on it it will start and the tell you that you need to uninstall maya before you carry on, dunno what the MAC version will do if theres problems, I would just click it the get it going and see what it says
OK, I think I'll update mine today. One quick question though, will it keep my customized shelves and anything else that I've customized (like my prefs etc.)?
