Maya 2012 SP1

Hi, few minutes ago I've downloaded new SP1 for Maya (1.5GB) but after installation it's still an old Maya; not SP1. Any suggestions how to update it to SP1? Thanks

If you mean the subscription advantage pack then I am affraid it is only for subscription customers, if you only need a hotfix you can download it here:
https://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet...linkID=9242259

He won't need the hotfix SP1 supersedes it.

What does it say under Help -> about?

The scary thing is the release notes say to uninstall the original maya before installing the service pack 1. Does this mean I have to reinstall all my plugins like bonus tools and such?

I answered my own question...I uninstalled maya 2012 hf4 and then reinstalled maya 2012 sp1 and it appears all the addons are there and working fine so I did not have to reinstall them. Thank goodness.

Yes, all plugins and addod are kept after uninstall probably, but I prefer .msp files to update it rather than reinstall whole program ...
