I dont buy it every month so i dont really want a subscription

Got to either exprot all or export selection and then in the file type there should be the options there (note - you might need to activate the exporter in the plug in manager, or infact get the bonus tools form autodesk)

ok how do i do this? (using 8.5)

In the plug in manager switch everything on (can remember the names of the things that you might need) then go to file Export selection (with the object selected, then select the output file that you want it in hen click export
