I hear you Jay...they can be a pain but I love em. I guess its just a matter of placement and thinking about WHAT they will do to the geo when you do the operation. It doesnt always work but I use them a lot. A little cleanup sometimes is better than trying the extrude method...saying that sometimes that is the way to go..it depends on what you are trying to do.

Thanks dave...that is much better. I guess Jay Im thinking of less work (which isnt always better) and replication..as dave has done I would do that delete all I dont need. duplicate..rotate etc etc.

I kinda am at fault as I tend to want to use what ever is easier (part lazy) because that is what I do at work all day. I guess I will have to change my attitude to boolean and try other methods first. I didnt even think of doing it daves way and I have done it so many times that way....caught in the moment of boolean madness
