you can't really tell if which one is better.
.WMV one is much smaller in size then div, but div has a higher frame per second rate.. well, I don't know... I really can't choose between these two...
mabe if yo make .wmv file with higher frame per second rate, then I deffenetelly will go with that..

here is what I think:

the DivX was AWSOME quality BUT I could hear a high picked sound in the background...that was bothering my ears user added image

the WMV has crappier quality, and the sound is more dull... (the high picked sound is gone)

but I'd rather see teh better looking DivX user added image

right just so you all know user added image

the divx is going to be used on the cds not the vip area. We are trying to just get the mac users a little happier user added image

but we have to stick with wmv for the vips as mikes / craigs pc cannot code in divx - well they can but they are HUGE

Im using a Mac:
I would prefer DivX as MP from MS skip too many video frames

AND: I just theted Kevin DivX testmovie. It works GREAT on my Mac. I wish the VIP tut mov would be also in this format. It would solve all the problems I have mit the MP from MS.

Kevin: could you reconsider your decision about the VIP tut format? I would be glad to sponsor you and the video production team if this can help...

I'm a PC user and tried the two of Kevin's Vids on Windows Media Player, Quicktime, a DIVX Player. Here's results.

Windows Media Player Version 8
--------WMV--------
-My player automatically downloading a needed codec. Then everything worked fine.
--------AVI----------
-Only Audio Worked.

DIVX Player Version 2.0 Alpha
-------WMV-------
-Didn't Work.
-------AVI--------
-Everything worked and had better quality.

Quicktime Version 6 (FREE)
------WMV-------
-Nothing Worked.
------AVI--------
-Only Audio Worked.

Sorry Axel - this is almost impossible as every time mike does a movie for the vip area he would have to post to me as he has dial up.

The divx at the quality you have just seen is for the cds in the shop only.

I will try to find a solution for the macs but we are limited to what our movie guys can use
