Because I don't have anyway right now to recompress it and still have good quality, there pretty big, you would probably want to do a right click save target as. Thanks!

aehm just a side note. you might not agree with me, but i dont think the tga files look that much better then the jpegs out of maya. right some details get lost, but the overall appearance is about the same. you as the artist of know what details got lost - but if you want to show us the detail, make a blow up on that detail and then the default jpeg of maya will show it.

hope you dont mind that i attach them as jpeg. they still make your model justice - even when the shadows are not perfectly soft no more. if you mind, i delete the image from the post.

Thanks for the converting Babyduck, but you didn't have to delete anything. that is why i posted it as a link, instead of an attachment and stuff, so someone would have the option to open it. adding a link to a file to download does not slow down the post. thanks,

yes, but i can delete the image i attached - the ones converted to jpeg. in case they look not good enough. that is what i meant

Hey Babyduck,

Hello. Don't worry about it! I appreciate your help. Its fine with me if you leave it on. Sorry I didn't do it that way. i am working a a new pic, i think i will just follow your advice when its done rendering and save it out as a .jpg.... but I though that there was some way you can go in and change it though so that it would save a .jpg a little nicer. oh well. Thanks!

Here is an example of it in .jpg format. But you have to draw out the piece you want, than import the image into maya, and model infront of it. user added image it doesn't take as long as it seams... IF any one has corel let me know and i will post the corel file as well..

looks awesome. just keep in mind that you get in turn real gi, not the fake from gi joe. the most time it will calculate the photon map. but if the scene does not change, and you do a fly through - you can keep the photon map, so animation with non moving things will render very fast and still look awesome.
