Thanks guys

Toxic Bunny: Well first and foremost, its about getting the ideas down on paper first (IMO) then find references that are close to what you want, in this case at the moment: Horse riding Boots and leggings also some motorcycle boots for straps etc, and the top is based from a ladies fashion vest top 'thing' that my wife owns. These things are all part of 'realworld' objects thats recognisable to us all making them acceptable straight away, nothing outlandish. Then as far as the modeling side of things, as always I start with a poly cube with some extra divisions to get some basic shapes then its a case of shape and adding geometry as I'm going, theres no secret recipe, and to get it looking organic you can either convert to a Subd or do a smooth proxy to work on the lo res whilst the hi res updates...thats it, oh and some patience LOL

Thanks for the questions....
regards
Jay

I love your modelling style, everything is so clean and simple yet really stylish. You can always tell when someone is good at what they do when they make difficult things look really easy to do.

she looks really mundane.

everything flows in a subtle way.
great character design and executionuser added image

- i have 3 comments/crit

* the ears still bother me. they seem to stand out too much, maybe they are too big. also i think they are too vertical. ears tend to have a slight rotation, hers doesnt seem to have that.

* the clavicle bones i think are too exagerated. the bones poke out too much imo.

*the arm pits are not deep enough under the shoulder.

Hey Vlad
Hows it going? Thanks for the crit, its about time I got something with some feedbackuser added image

Mundane, I agree possibly compared to other female figures but Im not going for the usual large breasted female holding a ultra penised sized weapon. Its not what its about. It will look more interesting at the end.

Subtle: in what way?

I agree with the ears, though the size is not an issue as they are proportionally correct, perhaps a bit more rotation will sort. I have been looking at those just last night as I havent really looked at the body for a week or so (busy on working on my house) so just been doing the boots.

Yes, armpits!! Yeah definately will sort those, I didnt think I was going to see them but now I have several scenes written and storyboarded where her Jacket is off.

As for the clavs, yeah a tough choice, I have several different refs for this and I chose something that appealed but I think now its been bought up, a little softer wont hurt

Cheers for now
Jay

Another update...

Just putting in the creases/joins, before adding the crease details
