Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
I managed to scrounge up an old pic of me. It was a while ago, so my beard hadn't grown in yet. The inset is the pic from my current driver's liscense.
I'm planning on rigging him with facial expressions and redesigning my website, featuring him as a "mascot" so to speak. Have cartoon me introducing the site and "holding up" my thumbnails or something. lol
Small update. I'm still experimenting with shirt color. I've also adjusted the materials some to get a "softer" look and have adjusted the lighting. I've still got a slight 'halo' under the left forearm.
kbrown - lol, yeah. I actually got the idea of the massive forearm/no wrists thing from a comic book artist I saw a long time ago. It stuck with me as looking unique and I decided to incorporate that into this one.
raul - If I had one, I'd put it, but I'm afraid I'm tatooless.
