This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

i lofted here by the sa,e process and treid to use the round tool here but it was too much for me so i used a fillet

to do the loft through the seam i duplicated the curve on surface from the other side and dragged it over but you can see the curvature is wrong so..

so i scaled it as -1 in X and got this. then i dragged it to the hole, duplicated it again and dragged the duplicated one back a little and lofted the curves

you can see the cuvature is correct now

i made a floor in it by right clocking to get 'isopharms' and selected this one and...

amd got a floor and moved it up to the bottom of the big vent

using a differant technique for shading i have used a 3D fractal and a bump map unfortunately the screen shot is of the bump map but the colours i used were light orange and very dark red

i jumped ahead of myself a little wih the fire but the textures ae all done using the same technique and sin of sins, i haven't even finished modeling yet??
