Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

apart from the trees in pots that's a pretty cool scene
nice fountain, how did you do the water that comes out from the fishes?

i'd show you a picture to try give ideas on what you could do for the trees but i don't know what to search for in google

here's an ascii drawing
Code:
     __
    ____
  ________
     ||
     ||
   __||_____
  /  ||    /
 /   ||   /
/________/
just make a square hole in the ground and stick the tree in some dirt there
put some brick or something around the edge of the hole and fill the hole with dirt

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

Computer skills I should have:
Objective C, C#, Java, MEL. Python, C++, XML, JavaScript, XSLT, HTML, SQL, CSS, FXScript, Clips, SOAR, ActionScript, OpenGL, DirectX
Maya, XSI, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Motion, Illustrator, Flash, Swift3D

The water is particles with blob applied to them. I agree about the palm trees, but if I put them in the ground, should I make biger in size. I mean more taller like Coco Tree?

try out both sizes and see what you think works

I change the pots. I think looks better. I am still having a problem rendering a biger size image. I know now is because the large textures and more because the Vray Dispacement Map modifier. Any one any sugestions how to handle those.

I`m sorry don`t know anything on V-Ray.

Looking at the image your suffering from the scale problem others are. Looking just at the benches and the bike on the left they look fine but then the bike comes to th top of the shop windows. Looking around the rest of the image I noticed the bench compared to the windows look hugh.

Maybe its just the angle

no problem - as I said everyone has seem to have done this in this challenge.

What I do is important a human model and just compare everything to that, its the best way because you know how big thing look next to you

I'm liking it Sokol, it looks loads better with the benches and the bike scaled down a bit! You could even fit 2 benches next to each other in that space too now but that's your call really, I like the clouds in the sky too, I tried putting some in mine but just couldn't get them to look right but you've done a good job there, keep at it!
