Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

i think the rendering you're doing is misleading because it looks like there are edges that haven't been drawn on the render and edges drawn on the render where there might not be edges

you should do what GecT showed you in her second post

in the view port panel click Shading > Wireframe on Shaded (so that the little tick is next to it)
and make sure you're in a shaded mode (hit 5 on your keyboard)

then take a screen shot (like you did in your 11th post)

as for the model it looks a lot better, the frame for the back of the chair looks a lot better

notice how in the reference images GecT showed you the slates (i have no idea what they are called, but they are the flat stick things on the inside of the frame of the back of the chair) at the back of the chair are slanted and how the slates on the back of your chair are perfectly straight up? Also the slates aren't in a straight line on the chair. you may or may not want to do the same as whats in the pictures, just a suggestion, it's up to you

Chirone thx for the info, for the back im trying to do the make them look like the one GecT posted to help. But for the render part i dont know why they come out like that i did click the wire shading in the shading panel, but i think where i mess up at is rendering it in maya vector.

you did it before in an earlier post user added image

if you're using windows hit the print screen button and paste the screen shot into a painting program

if you're using mac cmd + shift + 4 or 3
