For my Easter I spent sitting alone modeling clothing listening to Joseph Campbell lectures on mythology. I have pretty much migrated completely from C4D at this point over to Maya. Really like Nex. So for the next few weeks I will be modeling our clothing in Maya. Here is my progress this afternoon. I still need to clean up a few parts (Collar). Also need to put more edges in the knees and elbows for deformation. But overall a few hours work and I am not complaining.
Yes it is Gen, not sure if I mentioned but all buildings are furnished with full interiors as our goal is to create a world which can be fully explored. We have mainly been setting up assets for resale online recently to give us a solid income. All is going well though and once at our target we will be able to commit 100% to the game without any financial worries.
Just a modular Cathedral bashed out over the past 2 days. Will add the doors and some other bits from our extensive collection tomorrow to flash it up some more. Cheers for the kind words Gen!
Just been slowly implementing the new BRDF shaders into the new engine. Everything seems to be fairly close to the same so we don't have any real setbacks. Now we don't have to pay royalties on the product and we get updates. Not to mention Crytek has agreed to profile our Free3Dee training series on their sites and accounts for more distribution. So it has been a decent month and the transition has went well.
