>>The scene was so unreal. I wish I had my Nikon camera with me. All the mangled train, emergency lights, rescue workers.....looked like a hollywood shoot.

Well they all look like that to people with time to gawp and take pictures. To the people sifting the wreckage for bits of what used to be people, for the people trapped and dying, it is rather more real.

Yes Witchy I know but maybe I explained it wrong. THe people had all been taken away. This was long time afterwards. The rescue workers were repairing the track etc.
I did not mean to sound insensitive.

Bryce- I did not understand anything. I don't speak German :-)
I did a translation of what you said and it came as-

"In addition, I there nothing of heard, longer no more messages looked" :-)

I sure have a bank account but it's lightweight actually featherweight :-)
Not everyone is loaded here but some seriously rich people. Lot of expensive cars.
Unemployment is rising (its 2.5 or 3%) still low by european standards. The pension system and health system is starting to show cracks.
Descent educated hard working foreigners like me are being lumped together with illegal immigrants and some of the foreign crime mafias.
1 in 5 person in Switzerland is a foreigner. In zurich around 20-30% are foreigners.
In recent elections the right wing political parties have won the highest no. of votes. So in general swiss are nice descent people but it's slightly worrying all this anti-immigrant sentiments.
On the other hand I see lot of foreigners abusing the system as well and acting stupid.
Overall I am very happy here and don't miss London at all. I am British by citizenship. English is widely spoken thats how I am still surviving. I have serious mental issues with German language :-O ie. I am slow in learning it. VERY SLOW :-O
