Yeah, the journey chronicled in the book easily feels like it was a 13 or 15 month (I forget) journey,

Lol, what it dosnt tell you in The Fellowship Of The Rings movie, is that between Bilbo leaving, and Frodo leaveing, is about 30 years. lol.

Return of the King just made its way up tomy favorite movie of all time! Simply amazing movie!

Exactly. I left the cinema thinking 'if only it could have been longer'....time flew by.

It dosnt realy say much. Just that life went on and on, and Frodo began to realy get worried that what ever terrible thing made Gandalf go flying off, might have hurt him.

Well, it mentions that Gandalf does go back and visits very briefly with Frodo every now and again. But there was a time of about 17 years at the end of the 30 year period that he didn't see him.

Turns out, Gandalf was researching the ring and was returning to check on Frodo to see if he was experiencing syntoms that was consistant with the One Ring, such as stunted aging.

I've just started reading the books again myself. user added image I'm about to the point where they meet Strider at the Prancing Pony.

Well. I didnt really want to see it. But it was something to do and my friends were stoked to see it the first showing at midnight. There was about 8 of us and i paid for me and one of my friends.

I probably would have preferred to see something else. But it was okay. I did like the battles and the humor in some areas. Ide see it again. But not pay to see it again.
