Thanks Gster...

MMoore,

Yup! The dvd gives you a combo of using hi res images and custom brushes, so you get the best of both worlds in one tute.

All of this lady is hand painted so far NO hi res pics used at all, just good ol fashion reference, custom brushes that Ive made myself and lots of patience.

Best
Jay

Hey Jay!

This is looking really good, I love the textures especially as they're hand painted

Just need some nice sub surface scattering to give her that warm soft skinned look!

I'll keep following this closely. Really looking forward to seeing how you tackle the hair texture, its the part i've allways struggled with when comes to characters

Hey Jamie

Thanks mate, yeah SSS, possibly, though to achieve it properly takes a bit of doing as the more subtle the effect the better, its a tough one. Too many people JUST apply and render, its not the case. I'll see at some point, a good suggestion nonetheless.

The hair I'm going to deal with similar to the brows, with a transparency map for the edges, I'll most likely place the uv template into PFX canvas and paint the hair there.

Cheers
Jay
