Now I need to go back to maya and lay out UV's and chane the proportions. I'll post some more pics when I'm back in zbrush...

I'm redoing some of the modeling because I learned a shrink wrap method using dynamics wich with my bones and muscles and make very real looking models.

That looks like a really intresting way of modeling, could you post how you go about it?

This is going to look really good when its animated, and very real!

Looking forward to updates on this.

I found it on an online tutorial but don't know ehere the link it. Here is basicall how you do it... Make all the bones and muscles passizve rigid objects. Then model a lo resolution geometry in roughly the same shape as the skin and smooth it enough time to get the level of detail you want. Turn the skin into a soft body and add springs. Check the first option box in springs which is lie pre stiffness or something. Then select the skin and shift select each individual other object and go to make collide in the partical menu.

The trick is to get the skin real tigh and close to the bones and muscles before you shrink wrap it. Otherwise it will bunch in some areas. It anyone uses this method it would be cool it you threw up some images here. i'm curious what results other people get. let me know if it works.

Yeah that's it. Thanks for posting the link. It's a great method if you can get it to work.

I'm having trouble modeling the feet and making them look good. if anyone has modeled dinosaur feet, what methods worked for you?

hey Wishbonekenobi - your model is looking cool - though one crit - if you're going for realism, surely it would be better to model the teeth and gums seperately, rather than having the teeth coming out of the mouth geometry.

I was thinking of that but The wole mesh is going into zbrush and i wanted them really blended together like the rex in king kong. It looked like the teeth had broken through the skin rather than grown from the gum. Plus if I use spec maps I can make the teeth shinnier than the skin. I'll at least try it but you might be right. I'll have to do some experiments...

thanks

I finished the feet. Any comments on how to improve them would be good. They've been the hardest part so far.
