ok, then, just the other day I finished doing the uv mapping on my t. rex in Maya and I decided to start on the bump map, but now that I'm at this point, I really don't know what to do. I've tried working with it in the Deep Paint 3d demo, but with no good results. Does anybody know a good way to do a realistic bump map?
here's a picture of my untextured rex https://pilotltkettch.20megsfree.com/images/rexnotex.jpg
and here's a shot of what I'd like it to look like when I'm done https://pilotltkettch.20megsfree.com/images/pdvd_113.jpg
any help would be greatly appreciated
I've now been texturing other areas, but I'm finding the resolution isn't large enough, I'm at 4k, but if I try anything higher Maya won't render and says Free memory exception thrown, is there a resolution limit? would it be best if I devided the image into 4 or more parts and put them together in Maya?
