actually it was sapposed to be glowing brither than it is. when i render it direct to avi it came out better with the glows. But file size was outrageous. I dont know if you can keyframe glows. might be my next expiriment.

Actually in my original post in the WIP section i mentioned i was doing a mecha hand tutorial. And someone suggested i make the whole body and enter it in the challenge. i did. I didnt think there would be any problem, But i dud use the same style i used to create the rest of the body.

MY FIRST RIGGING ATTEMPT!!!! YAY!!!!

sorry... im just happy how it turned out. I had a previous save of my file when it was just a hand. And i thinkt he hand would be the hardest thing to rig on my model So i decided if i can learnt o rig my hand, everything else will be easy. So.. i looked around for a few tutorials. and.. well.. i didnt look hard so i just decided to try it myself and i managed to do it to an acceptable level. Theres probably an easier way to do it. But after i finally understood it i could probably rerig my whol hand again in less than 15 minutes now. maybe less...

So now on to the whole body.

This is a test pose

so far ive only had one minor problem... the leg cant rotate correctly in one spot. Luckily that is only a problem in setting some poses. In a fight it shouldnt be noticable. Or i might be able to make a few adjustments. but right now i have no idea what kind of actions i should have him do... Any ideas anyone?

Lots of stuff you could do. Right now, only his arms are moving. Could get some leg, body, head movement in there.

i was thinking of that. But i kind of rigged him while learning how to rig. And i modeled him not knowing how to rig... So there are some parts that are very hard to minipulate. Like i have the wrong object parented to wrong joints.... and so on. So right now all i can minipulate well is the hands. And most of the arms. I dont know how to do the legs, or what pose to put him in. Considering hes shooting a fireball.. theres not much movement he needs. But i might animate his head some. And have his knees bent. I did rig his feet pretty well. Might be good if they had some playtime. Im just having some problems with what should he look like. And is this possible with the model.

You have a few weeks before the end of the competition twisted, I'm sure you'll be able to get him moving a bit more in that time.
Fireball animation came off well. Whatabout connecting some lightning to it as it's forming to give it a charging up effect?

i was thinking that. i was testing some orbs forming around it. like small blue particles(but not particle effects) that trail behind giving it a tail. But im not sure.

The problem isnt getting him to move. its that in modeling i forgot how certain joints can move. so instead of a ball joint its a duel cylinder locking pivot... Which doesnt work.
