Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

It does look a little dark, other than that it looks good. As for the green thing, what is that? And it looks a little too green/florecent (sp?).

Looks great mike, bikini waxing and all user added image

Just wondering how many hours do you think you've put into the modelling and texturing so far? She seems to have come a long way and so quickly.

Cheers

Thanks, guys. user added image Yeah, she's kinda skimpy, isn't she? I bet that alone will help sell this thing! lol user added image

Let's see... I'd estimate...

modeling - approx. 8-10 hours
texturing - approx. 12 hours or so

Not sure, though, as it's like... 2 hours here, 3 hours there... over the course of a couple weeks.

Wellp, she's finally done! I just need to do the pistol tomorrow and I'll be all set to finally start her chapter and get her ready for the cover! Although I imagine before cover-time, I'll do some tweaks and mess with the hair color. Not sure about strawberry blond, but it looks pretty neat I think.

Right on,, I like it.:attn:

But what about the knees ,, they look like they wont fold right when animated? like they may need a little more attention or geometry so no texture stretching or mesh creasing will not take place user added image

Wow that's like 24 hours. I know it would take me a lot longer that and don't think it would be as good either. Thanks for sharing this Mike, I've picked up a lot from it.

As far as the hair goes, wouldn't mind seeing her in blond user added image

Cheers

Thanks for the comments! I'm pretty much putting her aside for now (at least, when it comes to working on her) and am going to have to focus back on the writing for a while. But here's a test pose I put her in... yes, I realize the belt buckle thing is off... re-rendering it now. :p

Hey Mike

Not posted on this one for a bit, so its nice to see your 'final'. I really like it.

Its weird when I look at game characters because my first reaction is to want to smooth it all off and get rid of the 'sharpness'. I suppose this it what happen when you create hi res characters constantly - the stark contrasts between the two styles.

Excellent job again Mike and good luck with the new book.

oh and happy new to you alluser added image
