Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

A bit of common sense makes the front pages of The Independent this morning.

One interesting fact in the article relating to our friends over the water. Basically if "every American home switched their five most-used light fittings to energy-saving bulbs, they would save $6bn (£3.2bn) and reduce greenhouse gases by nearly half a million tons."

Read on learn people, thank you

The only minor problem that I have with the energy saving ones is that they take a few more seconds to get the full brightness, but that's a small price to pay for saving money and the environment at the same time.

Well some hard times ahead for environmental campaigners from both the UK and the US it seams. And the attacker? That old dieing industry is making one last bid for public credence.

For those of you still thinking that Nuclear is the answer and that we should embrace it rather than reject it. Well watch this, an award winning short film narrated by Clive Anderson.

Basically shows how other countries are dealing with it how where we should be taking our inspiration from.

It was on the cards really as soon as they started talking about it, i wish that our government would really back reducing pollution and embracing green energy, but alas they will never go out on a limb and back something new (unless the US get a new president and Blair's still in) they would rarther sit back and use existing technology as I think that they think they have more control over it. (Which may be true looking at the almight cock up's thet they have made when attempting to impliment new technologies)

Well that my 2 pence worth

Well there is a mounting ground swell that is starting to rise. You have Al Gore and now Tom Barlow coming into the argument on the side of the environment. Add that with the marches and demonstrations which are getting more and more popular. Combine that with Bush's approval ratings and the general public opinion that Bush (and Exxon who controls Bush) have failed the people. I personally think that the tide is starting to turn.

And not a moment too soon and while that continues to go on here there is still room for hope.
