This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

anyways opted out of Z brush for a quick artisan across the chest, its good enough for now moving on...

looking good J.
theres this fear of Zbrushing once you do have the software, i know i had it.
i dont know why, but its almost an overwhelming feeling, but once you start you wont stop mate, i guarantee it
it feels so natural... like triple a D silicon boob job! :p
Yeah I did consider Z for that single crease across the chest but decided it wasnt worth going in there for the one thing. Artisan did the job this time around, and most likely the last.
Yeah been tinkering away in Z without a doubt, got a base head from Maya and am in the process of sculpting a new character which I'll unleash as soon as this baby is done.
Have you seen the new Z features, if not not gimme a shout I'll throw the link in. The new extract mesh is just amazing as is texturing in 3d now without the use of UVS...
just a first pass to check the pattern in the fabric is doing its job...
Will add some fading and a little dirt on the thigh and knees, but not too much as yet
